i remember my lola boiling sampaloc then peeling off the skin, squeeze it then add it to the soup. there are radish, tomatoes, gabi (the small one), kangkong (water spinach), fish sauce. i dont know the rest.. but of course, there's meat. either beef or pork
in leyte, instead of tamarind/sampaloc, my mom use 'batwan'
