What are the active volcanos in PI? Which of these are open to trekkers

Been up Pinatubo - there are tours you can book in Angeles either through travel places or through the hotels. Good hike - 3 hours up a winding caldera to the summit.

I have been to see Mt Mayon down in Legaspi but havent had the pleasure of going up the hill - apparently its a 3 day hike up there and back. I think local travel places organise it - i havent seen anything about it in the hotels there. Check out Youtube - some trekkers actually videotaped themselves on the volcano rim - great footage!

Mt Bulusan volcano down in Bicol near the town of Irosin is still very much active. I think there is currently a 5k exclusion zone around it because still letting off sulphur etc.

Havent seen Taal - but u can book tours through most of the hotels there in manila or travel agencies. Heard its a volcano within a volcano / island.

Any beaches within 2-3 hours from Manila?

In south, I recommend eagle point in anilao batangas, caylabne in cavite, laiya beach in san juan batangas or In north, camayan beach in subic just beside ocean adventure or grande island in subic also.

Any suggested 1-day tour in Manila? Do we need to book a guide?

Around Manila or around Metro Manila? If it's your first time, having a guide would be a good idea. But if you have a friend who can show you around, that would be better.Must see places in Metro Manila:For bars, and a little shopping, I suggest Eastwood and Araneta Center in Quezon City, or Greenbelt in Makati... if you have someone showing you around, ask them to take you to Timog. MOA is okay, too.Paco Park and Intramuros are great for taking pictures. So is Manila Bay.If you want a real adventure, go to Quiapo, and Binondo. But do not go there without a guide.For a really education tour, you can go to National Museum, Ayala Museum, and you can also visit the University of the Philippines (celebrating it's centennial this year).
