What's your favorite chocolate?

Ethel M chocolates with caramel and pecan! Can anyone from Vegas bring me a box please?! =)

I like the Cadbury chocolates from Australia, they're more bitter and you can really taste the cocoa.

I also like Snickers -- caramel + chocolates + nuts, yummy! Hersheys' Symphony too with toffee bits. And 100 Grand!

I loved Nestle Alpine White and Bar None but they stopped making those. =(

What can I say? I'm a chocoholic.

how do i cook tortang talong?

250 g. of ground lean pork
1 tbsp. of finely minced garlic
1/2 c. of finely chopped onions
3/4 c. of coarsely chopped tomatoes
1 bell pepper, finely chopped
4 eggs, beaten
1 tbsp. of flour
4-5 talong (eggplants)
salt and pepper
cooking oil

Cooking procedure :

Mix together all the ingredients except the eggplants and the cooking oil.

Cook the eggplants (boil, steam, grill or broil) until soft but not mushy. Peel off the skins, leaving the stems intact. Using a fork, flatten the meat of the eggplants. Divide the pork mixture into as many eggplants you prepared. Place the mixture on the flattened eggplants, patting the meat to make sure it is compact.

Heat a skillet or wok. Add about 2 tbsp. of cooking oil and heat until smoking. Carefully slide one stuffed eggplant onto the hot oil. Cook over medium-high heat, about 5-7 minutes on each side or until golden brown. Add more cooking oil as you cook a new eggplant.

Serve with catsup.

If you want a really special tortang talong, lay a slice of cheese on the flattened eggplant before adding the pork mixture on top.

Have you read "The Little Prince?"?

The Little Prince is a story of love, relationship, and friendship... it tells how the protagonist (the little prince) came to learn important life lessons through experience...Personally, it is my most favorite book

The sheep is an "imaginary" pet that the prince requested from the pilot. He (the little prince) wanted a sheep so that when he comes home to his little planet, the sheep will eat the baobab seedlings that can potentially destroy his little planet. You see, the little prince's home is so small that when a baobab seedling grows, the planet will be destroyed. That's why the little prince have to tend the planet regularly and see to it that no baobab seedling will have the chance to grow.

The rose is the little prince's "love". From the story, the "flower" drifted to the little prince's planet from another place, and since it is the first time the prince saw something as beautiful as the rose, he cultivated it and took care of it...However, the little prince eventually had to desert the rose and leave the planet because he thought the rose doesn't love him (the rose finds it hard to express her real feelings for the prince and often drives him away). Nevertheless, even if the prince left the rose, his thoughts and his heart is filled with the rose's memory throughout the story. An additional note: the little prince's relationship with the rose is often compared to the relationship of Antoine de Saint-Exupéry with his wife.

The ending was that the prince got himself bitten by a snake because he longs to get home and be with his rose again. The snake was introduced earlier the in the story, and it was the snake who offered the little prince a "way" to go home again. Now, since the little prince's rose is all alone in his little planet, and his little planet needs to be tended regularly or else it will be destroyed by the baobabs, it can be safely assumed that the rose already died and his home already destroyed (as both the rose and the little prince's home cannot tend to themselves alone). So technically, it means he has no rose and no planet to come home to...and the only way to be with his rose again through death...

No, the little prince didn't turn into a star. The solitary star in the ending of the book just represents the little prince's absence and lingering presence in the life of the pilot...

Prostitution in the philippines?

Prostitution is not necessarily the profession of choice exclusive to the destitute. A high-earning population doesn't guarantee the eradication of prostitutes; if at all, the price of their services will just go higher. For that matter, having a well-educated populace doesn't help either. For as long as there are willing clients (MEN!) out there, there will always be girls willing to work for the easy buck. And that is their business and nobody else's. It is not our place to judge nor to condemn nor to moralize.

The government (or the church) is NOT the moral agent on whom we should entrust our country's prostitution problem. The best they can do (and I hope they strictly enforce it) is to regulate the activities of this business. For one thing, child prostitution should be illegal at all costs and the clientele/patrons should be severely punished to the fullest extent of the law. Also, health requirements should be put in place. We can not stop them - that's for sure - so let's at least make sure they are not carriers of STDs.

How can I fill my prescriptions in the Philippines?

1. Get them in advance...Medicare from the States does not work here.

2. I don't know your prescription plan. (but probably don't work either).

3. Not all medication can be bought over the counter (don't take the chance)

4. They may not have the medication you need (alot of the meds. are from Germany and work differently-been there done that).

5. Medication is pretty cheap here, what would cost me a couple of thousand dollars per month in the States is costing me only about $40.U.S.D. here.

6. If you do buy medication here Try to use Rose Pharmacy, or Mercury Drugs they are the best and cheapest.

What Filipino food you will definitely miss if you leave the country?

☻Kilawin (Fish)
☻Grilled squid
☻Kare kare
☻Crispy pata
☻Chop suey
☻Sinigang
☻Laing
☻Bangus (milk fish)
☻Chicharon

Illustrate and explain the autobiography of Rizal

José Rizal (full name: José Protacio Mercado Rizal Alonso y Realonda) (June 19, 1861 – December 30, 1896), was a Filipino polymath, nationalist and the most prominent advocate for reforms in the Philippines during the Spanish colonial era and its eventual independence from Spain. He is considered a national hero and the anniversary of Rizal's death is commemorated as a Philippine holiday called Rizal Day. Rizal's 1896 military trial and execution made him a martyr of the Philippine Revolution.

The seventh of eleven children born to a middle class family in the town of Calamba, Laguna, Rizal attended the Ateneo Municipal de Manila, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree sobresaliente. He enrolled in the University of Santo Tomas Faculty of Medicine and Surgery and the University of Santo Tomas Faculty of Philosophy and Letters, and then traveled alone to Madrid, Spain where he studied medicine at the Universidad Central de Madrid, earning the degree of Licentiate in Medicine. He attended the University of Paris and earned a second doctorate at the University of Heidelberg. Rizal was a polyglot conversant in at least ten languages.[1][2][3][4] He was a prolific poet, essayist, diarist, correspondent, and novelist whose most famous works were his two novels, Noli me Tangere and El Filibusterismo.[5] These are social commentaries on the Philippines that formed the nucleus of literature that inspired dissent among peaceful reformists and spurred the militancy of armed revolutionaries against 333 years of Spanish rule.

As a political figure, Rizal was the founder of La Liga Filipina, a civic organization that subsequently gave birth to the Katipunan[6] led by Bonifacio and Aguinaldo. He was a proponent of institutional reforms by peaceful means rather than by violent revolution. The general consensus among Rizal scholars, however, attributed his martyred death as the catalyst that precipitated the Philippine Revolution.

What are the reason or factors why Rizal was considered creole?

A Creole may refer to someone of mix culture. In the case of Jose Rizal, his father was a prosperous landowner and sugar planter of Chinese-Filipino descent. He therefore inherited his father's mixed heritage; hence he was considered a Creole too.

What cellphone brand and model you like, and why?

I dont know exactly what kind of cellphone you need...but for me as a basic cellphone the Sony Ericsson K810i. It has a 3.2 mp cam and really takes good photos. Sometimes I'm too lazy to bring my digital cam with me so this phone is perfect for me for those Kodak moments or anything interesting to take photos of.
For a business phone its about to come out the Sony Ericsson P1i , it pretty much have everything in it. Cam, internet capability, mms, video etc.

I dont buy Nokia anymore unless from the US since I find their quality lately cheap and the fact that their monetary value depreciates faster than SE brand.

Right now I have the K810i already and an old mini O2.

What natural or organic insect repellants are available?

Ants and Cockroach Spray
1 crushed clove of garlic, 1 tablespoon of cayenne pepper, 1 quart of water. Steep for 1 hour and then add: 1 tablespoon of liquid soap. Then take the mixture and spray it around the house

Chamomile Spray
Cover a handful of flowers with boiling water, or use a teabag according to instructions on the packet. spray when cool.

Chive Spray
A spray can be made out of the tea and can be used for apple scab or powdery mildew. cover chopped chives with boiling water: just enough to cover them. Infuse for 15 minutes and use undiluted.

Elder Spray
This works for mildews, black spot and a range of fungi. It is also poisonous. Boil 500g elder leaves in a liter of water for an hour with lid on the pan. Top up with water as necessary. Strain and spray. This can be kept in a sealed bottle in a dark place for up to three months.

Garlic Spray
Garlic spray is an effective fungicide. Unfortunately it also kills insects and should be used with discretion. It is very effective against brown rot and can be sprayed on fruit after it has been picked. Prepare same as Ants and Cockroach Spray, but leave the cayenne pepper out.

Horsetail Spray
This is a mildly preventive for mildew. Spray fortnightly. Boil 20g of horsetail leaves with one liter of water for half an hour. Strain and spry. Use at the rate of 1 liter to cover an area of q0 meters by 10 meters for the first spray, then dilute with 50 percent more water for subsequent sprays.

Horsetail Spray 2
Use 40 grams of the fresh herb, or half of the dried herb, 4 liters of water and boil for 20 minutes. Add a little pure soap as a spreader, cool and strain. You can add 11/2 cup of pyrethrum daisy for Insect Pests.
Equisetum's rich content of silica, calcium and cobalt and other minerals can make an effective fungicide for black spot, mildew, dampening off diseases, wilt, scale, anthaenose and other fungal diseases, on garden plants. Use the Equisetum tea fortnightly to aid the health of trees, ornamentals, vegetables and herbs. The spray is not a cure but, a preventative.

Horseradish Spray
Chop horseradish leaves, cover with boiling water, leave till cool and spray undiluted for any fungal problems

Milk Spray
Milk is effective against a range of mildews. Spray equal parts of milk and water every few days till the condition is cleared.

Mustard Seed Powder
Grind mustard seeds to a fine powder. Dust over plants affected by powdery mildew.

Nettle Spray
The Spray can be used against powdery mildew. It is also effective against aphids. Take a container of nettles, cover with water and leave for three weeks or till the water is mid-brown. Spray undiluted.

Pyrethrum Spray
Pyrethrum spray or dust may be made from pulverized pyrethrum (Tanacetum cinerarifolium) flowers or from feverfew (Tanacetum parthenium) flowers, often incorrectly called pyrethrum. They have a similar effect, but the true pyrethrum is more effective.

1 tablespoon pyrethrum powder or 2 tablespoons flowers or 4 tablespoons feverfew flowers

Cover flowers with alcohol (like brandy or sherry) or mineral oil overnight, then cover with 1 liter of hot water for an hour. Soapy water is best but not necessary. It helps the spray stick on the plant. Strain and use. Never boil pyrethrum, the fumes are toxic.

Repel flies, to
Grow pots of fennel, mint, tansy, wormwood, rue, basil or any of the Pyrethrum family and place near doors, windows or inside, for the summer, to repel flies and other insect pests.

Rue
Grow Rue around the house to repel flies, stable flies and mosquitoes. This is an excellent insect repellent.

Rhubarb Spray
Rhubarb leaves are poisonous. It is also harmless to bees and breaks down quickly. Boil 1kg rhubarb leaves in 3 liters of water for half an hour. Add enough soap to color and dilute with equal proportions of water before spraying. Keep out of the reach of children and label Poison.

Seaweed Spray
Wash salt from seaweed, cover with water for three weeks. Strain off as much water as you need, dilute till it is the color of weak tea and spray. This will strengthen a plant's resistance to a range of infections. It is also a mild fungicide and repeated use should cut down brown rot, curly leaf and other such problems. It can be used at any time of the year, but spray at night in hot weather.

Sugar Spray
Dissolve 2 kg sugar in a bucket of water. Drench the soil to kill nematodes. Molasses can also be used but don't use honey as it may transmit disease to bees.

Tansy Spray
Tansy inhibits feeding. Cover 1 cup chopped tansy with 2 cups hot water. Cool, strain, spray. Good fly and insect repellent.

Wormwood Spray
Wormwood kills and repels fleas and other pests like flies, months and mosquitoes. Cover leaves with boiling water and leave for three hours. Dilute with four parts water.

Anyone here familiar with the radioactive pill to cure hyperthyroidism? how much will it cost and where?

i was given this choice when i had to have my thyroid removed because of hyperthyroidism about 10 years ago. i chose to have the surgery for a few reasons:

1) the studies regarding longterm fertility effects as a result of the pill haven't been completed yet, so there could be effects we don't know about yet. of course, you're a male i take it, so this probably won't affect you.

2) you have to be sequestered in your home when you take the pill. that means no interacting with people, etc. you can't even use the same utensils other people in your house are using.

3) the thought of putting something radioactive into my body just didn't sound right.

4) the surgery technique has improved so greatly over the years that the good outweighs the bad. my scar is pretty small, but i've seen people's scars who had the surgery in the years since i got mine, and theirs are practically nonexistent. the cut they make is so small now, it heals in no time.

talk with your doctors to make an informed decision. myself, i'm more than happy with the outcome of my surgery. i mean, it's a major surgery and with that comes the same concerns you'd have with anything of that nature. the recovery did suck. but i would make the same decision again if i had to. good luck!

What is the recipie for love?

'How to cook a true love'...

1.) first, find 1 gallon of charm with the help of cupid...

2.) secondly, mixed it up 'courting'...

3.) then, wait until a sweet 'yes' appears...

4.) after that, boil it up with a little bit seduction and temptation...

5.) and then, bake it with mixed care, loyalty, and trust...

6.) optional: in case of near spoilage, store it up in the freezer, then wait sometime and continue cooking... but if care, loyalty, and trust had faded, just throw it away and cook another one, besides, there are many fishes in the ocean...

7.) then poach it with more care, loyalty, and trust...

8.) boil it again, and let the aroma embrace the whole surroundings...

9.) after sometime, saute it with the 'I do', with the acceptance of both families and church...

10.) after a while, fry it up with more lovemaking, for more crispier, and juicier love life...

11.) then if you want, you can add a 'God-centered' ingredients to make love more powerful and blessed...

12.) then finally, a 'family' would be an outcome after the cooking... for more better taste, you can spice it up with understanding, patience, concern, and anything you think is good...

Lose my ears - then I wouldn't be wet behind the ears.

Without ears my hearing would be only slightly impaired, not a great loss. And although I would no longer be able to lend someone an ear, nor grin from ear to ear, other than those I'd have nothing to lose. Except support for my eyeglasses, but I could always get contacts.

How do you promote Philippines to your foreign friends?

it would probably depend on what nationality or ethnic group they belong to as well as finding out what are the things that they particularly enjoy doing.

for as we filipinos can understand it when i say that the country is basically several countries or islands in itself, each with their own language, or dialect, temperaments, lifestyles, their own food specialties, their own unique produce, landscape & tourist attractions & even religious beliefs, feasts & festivals.

but they probably dont know that. so i will probably just tell them about a particular place which could be a good fit for their particular likes, dislikes, lifestyle & maybe even budget.

It is a school that spans about two blocks, from Padre Faura to Pedro Gil in Ermita, with P.Gil being the site of the buildings hosting the medical programs.
But UP is the best for one reason. It is very hard to get in, since the entrance examinations and interviews prior to being accepted to the school are far more tedious and difficult than that of other schools. It is also known to host only the most brilliant of the graduating batch of high school students.
UP has a very minimal tuition fee compared to most schools. You will need to be a Philippine citizen to get in. Here is the website, in case you may be interested.

Good luck with your studies!

What is the best thing to do and not do when on vacation in Philippines?

Do not go out alone.
Do not draw attention to yourself.
Do not look or act like a tourist.
Do not wear expensive clothing or jewelry.

Following is from a tour guide: Ten Commandments for Tourists
1. Do not expect to find things as you have them at home, for you have left home to find things different.
2. Do not take anything too seriously, for a carefree mind is the beginning of a fine holiday.
3. Do not let other tourists get on your nerves, for you are paying out good money to enjoy yourself.
4. Remember to take only half the clothes you think you need, and twice the money.
5. Know at all times where your passport is, for a person without a passport is a person without a country.
6. Remember that if we had been expected to stay in one place, we would have been created with roots.
7. Do not worry, for he who worries has no pleasure – few things are ever fatal.
8. When in Rome, be prepared to do somewhat as the Romans do.
9. Do not judge the people of a country by the one person who has given you trouble.
10. Remember you are a guest in other lands, and he who treats his host with respect shall be honoured.

Enjoy, and have a safe and pleasant vacation!!

What is the tree of life?

In the Philippines that would be the Coconut Tree.

It is named as so because of its versatility. The fruit is food, the sap a beverage, teh husks are made into wooden polishers, the leaves are used to make baskets-brooms-nipa roofs-mat-name it, the bark can be used to make houses-rafts and etc. The coconut tree is enough for a simple man to live. Hence it is a wonder tree =)

Cabugao being developed into Boracay of the North
Source: Manila Bulletin
Date: 2005-06-17

CABUGAO – This tourist town of Ilocos Sur, popularly known as "Boracay of the North’’ due to its white sandy beaches, shallow shoreline, and crystal-clear water is now being developed to make as a major destination like its counterpart in Aklan.

A two-day seminar workshop for a sustainable tourism program for this town was held recently with Vice Governor DV Savellano and Mayor Dioceasar as main proponents.

One of the town’s well-developed resort is the Pu-os beach. Resthouses and picnic sheds are found within the area. More facilities like this are expected to mushroom along the beach under the town’s tourism program.

Other attractions of the Cabugao beach is the Salomague port, the mangrove plantation in Barangay Dardarat, and other unequaled scenic views.

Two years ago, during the incumbency of Savellano as governor, he invited Miss World candidates to spend a day here. The beauties were impressed by the clean and tranquil environment in the town. Their visit gave Cabugao a worldwide exposure and publicity.

But even way back during the early 1900s, this town had been widely known as the exit point of the first wave of "sakadas’’ who were recruited to work in a sugar plantation in Hawaii.

The Cabugao port was used by the invading Japanese soldiers as their headquarters during the last war.

The unveiling of the tourism program here came after Vigan City Mayor Eva Marie Medina launched the "Kaivigan’’ a group of respected families residing in Vigan and in Metro Manila and NGOs in the city which was behind the successful tourism industry development in the city.

Pug-os Beach
Barangay Pug-os, located along the national highway and two (2) kilometers north of the poblacion, boasts of its fine beach – its white sand stretching to more than half a kilometer. This attribute and the gradually slopping seabed make it a top favorite among town mates and tourists for swimming, picnics or fun hiking

Two hotel beach resorts, Ponce del Mar and restaurant, and the privately leased municipality-owned Cabugao Public Beach and Park (renamed Cabugao Beach Resort) serve as venues for conventions, conferences, seminars and social occasions such as weddings, baptisms and birthdays.

***Maybe Ponce del Mar would be a better choice for you to stay, as Cabugao Beach Resort is public.

Bananacue recipe??

The only ingredients for bananacue are cooking oil, brown sugar and saba bananas (saging na saba). You only have to roll the bananas in the brown sugar and afterwards deep fry them and that's it! :)

Do you believe in Patawas?

I'm a firm believer in the existence of the dark arts and other healing arts, and I believe that this sort of process may have some merits to it. Other than the fact that this Patawas has been around since before I was even conceived, I have also heard many stories from people I know about how this procedure helped heal them of diseases that they got after they were struck down by a "nuno". It also so happens that my family has a history of the sixth sense, not excluding myself.

So if ever I was the one who happened to be on the wrong end of a leprechaun's rainbow, I will not end my options with medical sciences. I have never been unfortunate enough to get into an argument with the supernatural, but in my opinion, if something is really ailing you, it wouldn't hurt any further to try alternative ways of healing yourself, and this patawas thing just may shockingly work. So why not give it a go? ^_^

How many Ninongs or Ninangs are allowed for 1 baby to have during Catholic Baptism in the Philippines?

in the Philippines, it's common to have a lot (more gifts for baby! hehehe..) and the more the merrier! i have 3 pairs, 2 of my aunts and my mom's bestfriend then.. sadly none of them is active anymore.. ☺

Just an advice though, don't just pick a lot, but think about the long run when making your choices. Make sure that these people can and will act as your kid's 2nd parents if something would happen to you.

Organise youre own funeral?

Death is a passing. Considering death as a graduation from this life, for me it will be a celebration. Just one or two nights wake. I prefer my coffin sealed. A photo gallery will be set up showcasing my photos from birth to the last pics taken of me. A video wall will also be showing more photos; the tv shows, stageplays, videos and movies I'd been in; and, just before cremation, my pre-recorded valedictory address and last will and testament.

There will be an open bar and a buffet will be laid out, too. Piped in music featuring my favorite songs will played. On the way to Mt. Pulag, Enya and Gregorian Masters of Chant selections and Elton John's Funeral for a Friend will be drifting in the air and as my ashes will be scattered, Ang Grupong Pendong's Prelude To A New Morning will put me to my final rest.

Flowers are for the living, not for the dead. But, I won't mind white roses, tulips and calla lillies.

Dress code will be "come as you are."

Cremation or funeral?

I already have my permanent retirement plot. Believe it or not but it is in The Filipino section of the cemetery. Good position too a lake in front and mountains behind with a shade tree close by.
Again stop with this morbid line of questioning...you are way too young.

how do you visualize a romantic "Will You Marry Me?" proposal...?

i really want it to ba a major production! a production in the sense that i want it videotaped, as well as I would want my husband to be (whomever he is!) to really prepare for it.. I'm into big surprises and cheesy settings..

I want it to be private (just the two of us) or in a party with our close friends and family.. I don't like public (like in the middle of the road or football stadium) proposals.. I want my ring to be platinum with a purple diamond (if there's any..) and I want my guy to go down on his knee when proposing.. I have like, the perfect picture in my head already!

Which slogan, saying or idiom in english would sound the funniest if translated word for word into Tagalog?

If translated directly into our native language it would sound funny as hell and even loose it's meaning. There are thousands out there.
For me, the funniest would be the KFC slogan "Finger-lickin' good"
And the saying "A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush".

Answer :
even the simple expression, "Whatever sister!" would be funny.. or "Two snaps and a finger roll.."

or what about the "apple of my eye..", "at each other's throats","bad hair day", "brownie points", "double whammy", the word "piggyback", "spitting image", or "Til the cows come home"..☺

FINALLY: Don't teach your grandma how to suck eggs!
meaning: Don't try to teach someone who knows more than you..

*hahahaha! you have to admit, that just sounds silly in Tagalog..

i mean, like that of they made sisig into a pizza..or adoba pizza flavor(i dunno if, someone already came up with that..hehe) have you tasted that? it makes me wonder what others would think of it before they actually taste it...

know that pizza parlor pizza smile is own by a friend's friend. though i haven't tried their version. im pretty sure their pizza is good. the owner is pasta and pizza monster.. hahaha.. first branch is in montalban or san mateo i think...

Answer : Filipinos are food lovers. and the way to their stomach is to tickle their passion for familiar food. that is why filipino spaghetti is sweet and has hotdogs unlike the spaghetti an italian friend cooked for me where the pasta is not overdone and the sauce was cooked in beer.

pizzas with pinoy twist is adjusting to the filipino palate. and i welcome that. i eat whatever is familiar to my taste.

You opinions on the demolished boardwalk in roxas blvd..?

Taxpayer's money goes to waste.

Such is the hapless state of our politics. Speaking not only on the boardwalk issue but on other government projects who have more or less suffered a similar fate. The public servants doesn't have enough sense to pursue the projects initiated by the previous governance, leaving these costly projects abandoned or demolished. If a certain project is an eyesore or a venue for public nuisance, one can always convert it for better purposes. Just think of the enormous budget which should have been used on more important facilities needed by Filipinos. On a bigger picture we can say we barely improve.

Converting License in the Philippines?

Yes, the driving is crazy. So the conversion of your license should be the least of your worries. The topmost question should be : can I actually drive in the Philippines ?

I suggss you first ride in the front passenger seat of a car driven by a friend. Then, try to imagine yourself driving. Would you slow down at this point? Stop? Accelerate? If you think you are getting the feel of driving in the Philippines, that is the time you think of converting your license. Otherwise, you may have a license you will never get to use.

I think the learner license converts to student, and the restricted license converts to non-professional. But the LTO people would be able to guide you in this area better.

For how long you can carry your burden ?

here's a story:
Two religious Brothers were about to cross a river when they saw a young lady crying by the river shore. She could not cross the river because of the strong currents.
On of the religious Brothers offered to lift her up and carried her across. Upon reaching the other side, the girl profusely thanked the Brother, and the the two proceeded to walk.
After a while, the other religious Brother started to berate his companion for carrying the girl. " You have violated our rule of not touching any woman." the Brother, kept on repeating his displeasure at what the other did. This did not stop as they walked.
After three hours of such talk, the religious Brother who carried the girl stopped and said, " Brother, I left the girl at the shore three hours ago. You are still carrying her!."

answer : Usually, I will carry my burden until a period of time pass away. Depending on the situation, I think its best to let things work it self out. That may be easier said than done.

What is the specific role of the Vice-President of the Philippines?

Besides being the second head of the country which is the Philippines, I donot see any other function of the Vice-President of the Philippines except by following what the President would or could do for the country as a whole.

If you happen to be a foreigner like an American or other nationality, with due respect I donot think you could answer this thoroughly and thoughtfully. It is different from just watching or reading it in a newspaper or in a television.

Is Araneta Coliseum safe?

Araneta Coliseum is not the one that is dangerous, it's the persons there. Araneta had been there for years, and it neither fell nor broke. But many times did Filipinos lose money and personal belongings there. Many times did Filipinos get injuries and other things there. Most of us would just like to go there because all of our friends will go (It's not fun to go alone there, it's dangerous too...). It is much much safer to just stay indoors. The thing you will watch there might be found in the tv or youtube. Sabi nga "Pag gusto maraming paraan, pag ayaw maraming dahilan". Always obey your parents... and later you'll be glad you did.

Whats the best city in the United States? Your opinon?

For me Denver. It is very diverse and the people for the most part are very friendly, you get all four seasons and the complete lack of humidity here is also a real plus. Outdoor activities to do all year round, hiking, biking, canoing, rafting and within 45minutes you could be up in the mountains enjoying some really incredible and beautiful scenery, not too mention the skiing and snowboarding you can get in during the season.

The downside is that the price of everything is slowly beginning to rise.

and to a less extent Seattle would be my second choice, the downside Seahawk fans! ha ha.

Which would you rather have?

Intrigued by PT's questions, I now ask:

If you MUST choose between having that very long tongue or the extra fingers on your hands, which would you rather have.

No answers like "I would not have any". If you must answer, you have to choose between the 2 options.

My answer :

I love KFC and we know it's finger-lickin' good, so if I had 16 fingers (three more on each hand, correct?) I figure I'd have more to feast on, although with my regular-length tongue that may take a while to do. However with a longer tongue I could finish the task with one quick swoop at each hand with only the original ten digits to contend with. That'd be a distinct advantage if I was pressed for time, always a major concern anyway, so score one for the three-foot tongue.

Then again I have always dreamed about being a musician, a professional harp player in fact, and extra fingers would definitely be beneficial - not to mention a longer tongue instead might get stuck in the strings (which would be a big no-no during concerts I'm sure you'd agree). And as a bonus I could play rhythm and lead simultaneously on the same guitar, all it would take is practice. So that's a big plus for the fingers.

And also, here are some of the disadvantages of a long tongue: it would be more difficult to hold my tongue the longer it gets, as you can imagine, and slips of the tongue would probably be more frequent. And then anything I say with tongue in cheek would easily be discerned: people would easily spot the bulge. Also I notice that even with a longer tongue, its tip would be the same size, therefore those things at the tip of my tongue would not necessarily increase.

Meanwhile extra fingers offer these advantages: I could assign blame to more people (point more fingers, helpful at the office); I could keep more fingers crossed, thus more opportunities for wishes; and very few things would slip through my fingers. (The drawback being I'd be forced to lift a finger and help someone every time, what with my additional ability.)

Considering everything, maybe I'd choose more fingers but I'd have to check if the wife would agree.

Should Cebu Pacific fire its key managers?

They used to advertise their prompt departures and arrivals using very dramatic TV commercials before. But now, it seems that they are not anymore reliable, with most flights delayed. PAL in fact has a better on-time performance now. Fire the managers?

my answer :
I think they deserve a chance to rectify this problem of theirs. They have, after all, put into reality the long awaited promise of cheap domestic flying in the Philippines.

Do you wear/use fakes?

Guilty?

Guilty in indulging in TOO much shopping but NOT guilty in buying knock-offs. The real deal is always of better quality albeit more expensive. And then there's always the PAYLESS stores...same styles but at greatly discounted prices. The trick is to let the "admiring public" get used to you wearing the brand names and so on the rare occasions you wear the cheapos, none would ever know. As jan-na said, it's how you carry yourself.

Sometimes like fine grade tequila, sometimes like honey, sometimes like lemon and sometimes like water.

Do you really think each of us have a twin somewhere out in the world?

I have seen my look a like last two years ago and she's my friend living in Texas, married and with kids. Her husband was a bit surprised when he saw me for the first time.

why did the radio station 959bigfm in the baguio city shutdown??

many radio stations in Baguio are down today. Radio stations that used to operate 24 hours a day sign off at 11 PM or 12 AM these days because of the lessened number of listeners since owning MP3s have become common and most radio stations don't meet the needs of the listening public or a certain group of people.

In the same way, this is one of the reasons why 95.9 BGFM had to stop operating. BGFM didn't only compete with other radio stations and the management couldn't maintain BG's profit because of the lessened number of advertisers. The same is true to other radio stations but radio stations like K-Lite, Star FM, Magic 99 can still manage as they are the top stations that are most listened to by the public.

Some reasons may be for the reputation of the station as there has been reported cases like harassment among workers most especially...

Well, it's sad on the part of BG listeners losing the lively discussion made by some top three commentarists in Baguio. I would say this was unique to BG as it sounded like an AM station in the morning.

In addition, as to the other radio station's downfall like Campus Radio, many of the DJs left the station for the complete changes made there like switching of the music style from general pop to OPM specifically. Many of the staff believed that people don't really prefer the so-called cheap music style. In the case of BG, there wasn't any switching of style except in 1996 when the station played the more acceptable pop music of that time instead of rock. It wasn't a rock station but they played rock more than the other music types. However, they were able to maintain their popularity especially for the less-talk-more-music style....

Personally, I liked BGFM more than the other stations but the lack of time to listen to music and the poor reception of BG in our area made me quit until I learned one day that BG had gone...

There may be other reasons but I guess the main reasons won't be divulged...

Why i can not find my own record maricel cargando hisona?

am stay in roxas city capiz student

What record? Birth? Medical? School?

If it is your birth record that you cannot find, maybe your certificate was not forwarded to the NSO. Check with the hospital where you were born, or at your health center registry of births.

Can someone explain this to me, please?

This box appeared above the YAP questions with top ten answerers so I clicked on it:

and the following appeared. I don't really understand what it all means.
What concerns me the most is the fact that known TROLLS/MASTER appear on that sheet i.e.

Nena even found another link for Asia Pacific. Talk about confusing.
Explorer you raise a very interesting point. I didn't consider this at all.
Strategic Manipulator what is it you are saying. I don't think I like your response.

Answer :
That you're the top answerer to Y!AP from Australia, as ScarletRaven is, from the Philippines. Maybe Monday you'll be in the overall leaderboard, Big Chuck.

The other leaderboards outside USA (country code is first two letters after http://):

Canada
http://ca.answers.yahoo.com/dir/stars?si...

Singapore
http://sg.answers.yahoo.com/dir/stars?si...

United Kingdom
http://uk.answers.yahoo.com/dir/stars?si...

Now I'm more confused since I think there are answerers in that list who are US-based.
